IBU CUPS 6/7 - CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS (Jan. 18)

The Alberta Event Hosting Society for Biathlon is hosting IBU Cups 6 and 7, February 8th through the 16th at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Canmore has hosted many major events at the Nordic Centre, and we are especially excited to be holding these competitions.

Many Biathlon Alberta members volunteered for the 2009 IBU Youth Junior World Championships, as well as the 2010 National Championships, and we hope you are able to come out to support us for another successful event. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with a high level biathlon competition, and also to help increase the general awareness of Biathlon in Alberta.

We are looking for individuals for all areas of the competitions.

Each position is listed with the check-in times and hours. Once you have selected a position you will be asked to complete your name, phone # and e-mail address. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you confirming your position, time and date. If you are able to volunteer for more than one position/time-slot you will need to complete your information for each position. Please note that most of the positions cover both a morning and afternoon race. If you are not able to commit to a full time slot but are interested in helping, please let me know and we can split the position that you are interested in.

Prior to the competition, please visit this link and sign up as a volunteer. We are required to have you on record as a volunteer for insurance purposes.

Please note: No fee is required to volunteer. The following steps will help you navigate this portion of the registration:
• after completing Member Information, move to Membership Category - indicate "Official" or "Supporter." Here, a $10.00 fee appears
• proceed to the next category - Provincial Fee Adjustment - indicate "Officials, Supporters." The fee becomes $-10.00.
• Thank you for addressing the registration request.
